標題：大澳行人橋鋪設完成｜RYOWA人造麻石在戶外公共通道的實戰應用

大澳，香港最有名的水鄉。棚屋、鹹魚、蝦醬，仲有每日往返兩岸的居民同遊客。大澳改善工程第二期第二階段（合約編號IS/2022/01）之寶珠潭行人橋（約120米）及鹽田行人橋（約140米），現已完成鋪設並開放使用，為呢個百年漁村增添一條更安全、更便捷的通道。

大方公司有幸參與本項工程，供應RYOWA品牌訂製人造麻石鋪設材料。今次想同大家分享，一條戶外行人橋的地面，究竟有咩要求。

■ 供應材料

本工程採用兩款訂製規格：

300×600×18mm人造麻石地磚，用作橋面主鋪材料。大板規格令橋面線條簡潔，縫位少，觀感統一。

(142+50)×292×18mm L型人造麻石級咀磚，用於梯級邊緣。L型一體成形，包覆梯級邊緣，踏面與立面同色同紋，收邊平順，行落樓梯時腳感清晰，提升上落安全。

■ 點解戶外公共通道要求咁高？

大澳近海，橋面全年受日曬、雨淋、鹹風侵蝕，人流亦不少。材料要過三關：

第一關是防滑。RYOWA人造麻石防滑等級達R12，落雨天、斜道位置都維持足夠摩擦力。

第二關是承重。橋面唔止行人——緊急情況下消防車都要上到。RYOWA人造麻石經HOKLAS認可實驗室測試，可承受60噸消防車荷載。

第三關是外觀耐久。人造麻石規格統一、色差極少，大面積鋪設依然保持一致觀感，日後如需局部更換亦容易配對。

Title: Tai O Footbridges Completed | RYOWA Artificial Granite Put to the Test in Outdoor Public Walkways

Tai O is Hong Kong's most famous fishing village — stilt houses, salted fish, shrimp paste, and residents and visitors crossing the water every day. The Po Chue Tam Footbridge (approx. 120m) and Yim Tin Footbridge (approx. 140m) under Tai O Improvement Works Phase 2 Stage 2 (Contract No. IS/2022/01) are now fully paved and open, giving this century-old village a safer and more convenient crossing.

Tai Fong Company is honoured to have supplied custom RYOWA artificial granite paving for this project. In this post, we take a closer look at what the ground surface of an outdoor footbridge actually has to deliver.

■ Materials Supplied

Two custom specifications were used:

300×600×18mm artificial granite floor tiles as the main deck paving. The large format keeps joint lines minimal and the deck visually clean and consistent.

(142+50)×292×18mm L-shaped artificial granite nosing tiles for stair edges. Formed as a single piece, each tile wraps the stair edge with matching colour and texture on tread and riser — a clean finish with clear underfoot definition for safer stair use.

■ Why Are the Requirements So Demanding?

Tai O sits by the sea. The bridge decks face sun, rain and salt-laden wind all year round, plus steady pedestrian traffic. The material has to clear three hurdles:

Slip resistance. RYOWA artificial granite is rated R12, maintaining sufficient grip on rainy days and on ramps.

Load capacity. The deck carries more than pedestrians — in an emergency, a fire engine must be able to cross. RYOWA artificial granite has been tested by a HOKLAS-accredited laboratory to withstand 60-tonne fire engine loading.

Long-term appearance. Consistent dimensions and minimal colour variation keep large paved areas looking uniform, and make future partial replacement easy to match.
